Hi, I'm Sarah, founder and maker of SO Handmade. I create travel toys that are portable and practical for families on the go. They're a great alternative to screens, and encourage creativity and imagination.
SO Handmade came as a solution to my own dilemma: how to keep my toddler's toys contained while we were running errands. I found a stray car at the bottom of the diaper bag one too many times, and knew there had to be a better way!
I design all of my products myself. use a combination of hand screen printing and digitally printing the fabrics before I sew them together in my home studio in Woodstock NY.
Meeting parents and grandparents at craft shows is one of the most fun parts of running this business. Getting that interaction and feedback helps me develop new products I know kids will love.
I am also partnering with charities to give back a portion of sales to organizations near and dear to my heart.

Toys For Traveling
Our toys for traveling will help to keep your toddlers and kids happy and entertained on a long journey. As a mom of two I know from experience how tough it is having a fidgety toddler stuck in a car or plane seat for hours on end! That's why I came up with my collection of travel toys.
I wanted to develop open ended toys that fostered kids imaginations and creativity away from screens. Our travel toys promote fine motor skills and hand eye coordination for younger kids and are mess free for plane rides and road trips.
